The DIEP RRTC brings together a consortium of nationally recognized researchers from multiple disciplines including economics, psychology, law and public policy, business management and health. The research team is complemented by national associations with outreach to targeted audiences for knowledge translation and utilization activities.

Target Audience: Employers
Disability:IN is the leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide. Our network of over 220 corporations expands opportunities for people with disabilities across enterprises. Our central office and 27 Affiliates serve as the collective voice to effect change for people with disabilities in business. Their vision: An inclusive global economy where people with disabilities participate fully and meaningfully. Shared Commitments: To collaborate with purpose to promote the full inclusion of people with disabilities, to inspire accessible innovation for all, and to foster cultures of inclusion.

Target Audience: State VR professionals
Founded in 1908, the National The Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR) is a national organization comprised of Directors of State Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Agencies. These agencies are the state partners in the State-Federal program of rehabilitation services provided under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as Amended. The Council’s members supervise the rehabilitation of some 1.2 million persons with disabilities. CSAVR is committed to working toward a world where all people have equality. Racism is a civil and human rights issue, and as such, a disability rights issue. CSAVR condemns and rejects racism and inequities in all forms and the systemic manner in which it is used to oppress minorities, including those who are individuals with disabilities. Disability and poverty continue to exacerbate the challenges that many individuals face. CSAVR will work tirelessly to assist individuals with disabilities, with whom we work, to have full access to opportunities that increase independence and employment, and to provide them with the services and supports they need to achieve the American dream.

Target Audience: People with disabilities
The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is a convener, connector, and catalyst for change, increasing the political and economic power of people with disabilities. As a national cross-disability rights organization, AAPD advocates for full civil rights for the over 60 million Americans with disabilities by promoting equal opportunity, economic power, independent living, and political participation.

Target Audience: Independent Living directors
The ILRU (Independent Living Research Utilization) program is a national center for information, training, research, and technical assistance in independent living. Its goal is to expand the body of knowledge in independent living and to improve utilization of results of research programs and demonstration projects in this field. It is a program of TIRR Memorial Hermann, a nationally recognized medical rehabilitation facility for persons with disabilities. Since ILRU was established in 1977, it has developed a variety of strategies for collecting, synthesizing, and disseminating information related to the field of independent living. ILRU staff–a majority of whom are people with disabilities–serve independent living centers, statewide independent living councils, state and federal rehabilitation agencies, consumer organizations, educational institutions, medical facilities, and other organizations involved in the field, both nationally and internationally.

National Disability Institute influences thinking and behavior through pioneering research, advocacy, policy development, training and technical assistance. We collaborate with hundreds of organizations throughout the country—from financial institutions and employers to government and community organizations—to empower people with disabilities and their families to build a better financial future.

The ABLE National Resource Center (ABLE NRC) is the leading, comprehensive source of objective, independent information about federal- and state-related ABLE programs and activities, including guidance on tax-advantaged ABLE savings accounts. Our mission is to educate, promote and support the positive impact ABLE can make on the lives of millions of Americans with disabilities and their families. ABLE NRC is a collaborative that brings together the investment, support and resources of some of the country’s largest and most influential national disability organizations in an effort to accelerate the design and availability of ABLE accounts to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families.

Target Audience: Women and families
The Center for Women and Work is a leader in research, education, and programs that promote economic and social equity for women workers, their families, and their communities. As part of its multi-faceted research and policy work, The School of Management and Labor Relations’ Center for Women and Work (CWW): Addresses women’s advancement in the workplace, Conducts cutting-edge research on successful public and workplace policies, Provides technical assistance and programs to educators, industry, and governments, Engages issues that directly affect the living standards of New Jersey’s and the nation’s working families.

Target Audience: Employment service providers
APSE is the only national, non-profit membership organization dedicated to Employment First, a vision that all people with disabilities have a right to competitive employment in an inclusive workforce. People with disabilities should not work sequestered in sheltered workshops, earning only pennies an hour. We want people with disabilities to enjoy the company of a wide range of coworkers, an opportunity for greater financial independence, and the ability to contribute to the economy. We provide our members with the tools, opportunities, and timely information needed to take action and build better workplaces through work with policymakers and employers. APSE is the national voice on workplace inclusion.

Target Audience: Ten Regional ADA Centers
The ADA National KT Center supports the ADA National Network (ADANN) in helping people with disabilities, professionals, employers, businesses, and others to understand their rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It does this by: 1) Increasing the efficiency and impact of the ADANN’s activities; 2) Increasing awareness and use of ADA research findings to inform behavior, practices, or policies; and 3) Evaluating ADA stakeholders’ need for and receipt of ADANN Services. The primary goal of the project, in collaboration with the ADANN, is to perform activities that increase the implementation of the ADA in communities across the United States.
